UFC on ABC 1: Kattar vs. Holloway took place this past Saturday, January 16, at the Etihad Arena on Fight Island, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

UFC featherweight Calvin Kattar was handed a lengthy medical suspension for his injuries suffered in his main event bout against former featherweight champ Max Holloway at UFC on ABC 1.

The full list of medical suspensions was released Monday by MixedMartialArts.com, the Association of Boxing Commissions’ official record keeper, revealing that Kattar received a 180-day suspension for a broken nose. However, per the report, if he can get his nose cleared by a doctor sooner, he won’t have to wait the full six months. Kattar also received 60 days minimum with 45 days no contact on top of the 180 days.

In addition to his broken nose, Kattar’s manager and head coach, Tyson Chartier, later revealed to MMA Junkie that his fighter also received eight staples in his head.

The former champ, Holloway didn’t suffer nearly as much damage compared to what he dished out Saturday. Aside from a few cuts, bruises, and swelling on the face and body, he didn’t seem to suffer any significant injuries during the fight.

Holloway was handed a 30-day suspension with 25 days no contact for a “hard bout.”
