Following his devastating main event loss to former featherweight champ, Max Holloway at UFC on ABC 1 this past Saturday, Calvin Kattar released a statement Monday telling fans that it’s “On to the next.”

“Success in life comes when you simply refuse to give up,” Kattar wrote. “With goals so strong that obstacles, failure and loss only act as motivation. Props to Max on a hell of a fight he deserves all the praise. Thankful for my teams commitment for this fight. On to the next. There is no stopping the man who doesn’t quit.”

In a bout where many opponents would have looked for a way out after absorbing such a severe amount of punishment, Kattar ended up losing to Holloway by a 50-43, 50-43, 50-42 unanimous decision.

Kattar suffered multiple injuries throughout the five round war between him and Holloway, while absorbing a record breaking number of strikes. He is expected to be out for around six months before he can begin training for his next fight again.
