Chael Sonnen has been charged with 5 misdemeanor battery citations following an alleged fight that took place in a luxury hotel in Las Vegas at around 7 p.m. Saturday night.
According to police reports, one witness said she saw Sonnen “banging on a hotel room door.”
When another couple walked by, Sonnen then proceeded to get into a physical altercation with a man, who, according to the witness, he was “easily handling.”
The woman that was with the man is the one who ultimately called police.
Upon the police’s arrival, officers detained Sonnen, but were not able to make an official arrest as they did not personally witness the incident themselves.
There is no current explanation as to why the incident occurred, however, police are still investigating on the matter.
Paramedics also responded to the call, but no injuries have been reported at this time.
