Former UFC interim welterweight champ, Colby Covington, joined Submission Radio, earlier today, where he cleared the air about being called a ‘racist’ after voicing his opinions about Tyron Woodley supporting Black Lives Matter, and about the social movement itself, following UFC Vegas 11.

“I didn’t say anything that the Black Lives Matter (BLM) websites don’t already advertise,” Covington told Submission Radio. “They advertise that they’re a Marxist group. They advertise that they’re a communist group, it’s on their webpage. So it’s not like I said anything that wasn’t already stated in how they’re trying to get their point across as. They’re a domestic terrorist group. They’re a Marxist group. They dont want equality, they want anarchy. They’re burning and looting our American businesses. They’re killing people. They’re just putting innocent peoples lives in danger, and for what? For what purpose? They don’t have an actual purpose, you know. They’re being led by Democrats. They’re being led by Joe Biden, and they’re fighting for a cause that’s non existent. I mean, where does the Black Lives Matter checks and donations go to? It goes to funding a democratic president. So they don’t even know what they’re fighting for.”

“So the backlash was not warranted,” said Covington. “I gotta say big respect to Dana White for not bowing to the woke mob. Dana White is the only commissioner that doesn’t try to force an agenda down your throat. Like basketball and the NFL, they try to force a one sided agenda down your throat. The woke mob. They want to force they’re politics down your throat, and if you don’t, then we’re not gonna pay you. Dana White’s not like that, he’s not trying to limit my free speech. This is America, and we have freedoms in America. There’s nothing that I said that was racist, and theirs nothing that I did that was racist. End of story, next question.”

Despite his recent controversial comments, Covington is slowly becoming one of the UFC’s biggest stars, and in my opinion, he is already one of the top ten biggest draws in the sport.
