Dan Hooker successfully cuts down to featherweight in test weight cut

UFC lightweight contender, Dan Hooker, recently did a successful test weight cut down to the featherweight limit of 146 pounds and has the video receipt to prove it.

On Monday, Hooker took to Instagram to share with his followers the successful cut, with the video caption “45 look alive.”

In a recent interview with The Mac Life, Hooker hinted at a test cut already being in the works.

“Gotta make your next move your best move,” he said when asked about his future plans in fighting. “Let’s just say I’m working with the UFC and a fight dietician very closely and I’m doing a little test run and we’ll see. I’ll be able to answer every question on next week’s show.”

Hooker, 31, has quite a bit of experience fighting at 145 pounds.

He began his UFC career in 2014 at featherweight and competed in the weight class for three years before moving up to lightweight in 2017, where he has remained ever since.
