On Monday, the two took to social media to reflect on their losses and let fans know that they are in high spirits.
In the co main event of the Pay-Per-View, Nunes was submitted by Julianna Pena via rear-naked-choke in the second round in what is now being called the biggest upset in UFC history. Pena was a +700 underdog leading into the fight.
In the main event, Charles Oliveira retained his lightweight world title by submitting Poirier via standing rear-naked choke in the second round.
