Heavyweight MMA fighter Juan Adams (5-3 MMA, 1-3 UFC) is no longer in the UFC as of Tuesday, Feb. 11.
Following his third consecutive loss at UFC 247 this past weekend, the UFC decided to cut ties with Adams less than 72 hours after the loss.
Early Tuesday, Adams broke the news by taking to twitter to let his fans know he’ll no longer be fighting for the disney-owned promotion, due to being released.
Adams made his way into the UFC’s heavyweight division through fighting on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series and knocking out his opponent in less than one round. Four months later, he went on to win his UFC debut by TKO in the third round.
Since then, Adams hasn’t been able to win a fight. Losing by decision, TKO, and TKO in his last three. Luckily for him, he trains at one of the best MMA camps in the world, Jackson-Wink MMA.
Adams is still a talented fighter despite not being in the UFC anymore, and being eight fights into his career he has a good chance of signing with the promotion again in the future, if he can go on an impressive streak of fights.
