Fight Island — Leading up to his third consecutive UFC lightweight title defense, at UFC 254, Khabib Nurmagomedov, caught up with former UFC fighter and fellow American Kickboxing Academy teammate, Mike Swick, on his podcast Real Quick with Mike Swick.
During the podcast, Nurmagomedov revealed what his daily training routine has been while staying in Abu Dhabi for UFC 254.
“For this fight camp, typically it’s morning, 10 AM we do MMA training. Like sparring drills, striking drills, wrestling drills, like grappling wrestling. Like all MMA stuff in the morning, and at night were doing only cardio. Like mits, bike, running, ground and pound conditioning, we do this stuff at night time. 7-8 PM.”
Nurmagomedov looks to take on interim lightweight champ, Gaethje, this Sat., Oct. 24 at UFC 254, to unify the lightweight title once and for all. This is a matchup you don’t want to miss.
