Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway will no longer challenge Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title in March.
According to a report from ESPN, Holloway was forced to withdraw from the fight on Thursday after he re aggravated an old injury in training. The injury comes just one day after the fight was announced.
Holloway and Volkanovski were set to compete in a trilogy fight at UFC 272 on March 5 in Las Vegas.
The UFC has not made an official announcement on the status of the fight at this time.
