Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway is about to bless his fellow Hawaiians by making a donation to the Hawaii food bank.

He plans to follow suit behind Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Dustin Poirier in auctioning off his UFC 251 fight kit, and donating all proceeds to the Hawaii food bank, which will hopefully feed thousands of Hawaiians.

Right now, unemployment in Hawaii is at an all-time high, around 40%. With the mandatory quarantine still in place for the entire island, many Hawaiians are still waiting to return to work.

In addition to Hawaiians waiting to return to work, tourism has essentially come to a halt. With tourism being a huge driving force for the Hawaiian economy, they need all the help they can get right now, until the quarantine is lifted.

“Breaking news here first, I’ll be auctioning off my whole (UFC 251) fight kit,” Holloway told The National. “Come Saturday, or Sunday morning, whatever it is. I’m following the footsteps of my brother Khabib, and my brother Dustin. They led the way, and I want to follow. My people, they need to eat, in Hawaii. Unemployment right now is like 40%. So every single dime, penny, I make off this auction, is going straight to Hawaii food bank, and I hope you guys can help me support my cause.”

“Following the lead of my brothers, Khabib, and Dustin. I’ll be auctioning off my fight kit from UFC 251. Unemployment in Hawaii is one of the highest in the US and many are struggling to eat. All proceeds will go to the Hawaii food bank. Thanks UFC and Visit Abu Dhabi,” Holloway said via twitter.
