Max Holloway put on a career performance last night against rising contender Calvin Kattar at UFC on ABC 1.
Following two back to back losses to featherweight champ, Alex Volkanovski, Holloway showed that he is still the no. 1 contender for the featherweight title after becoming only the second fighter in UFC history to receive a 50-42 score on the judges scorecard.
During the UFC on ABC 1 post-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White went as far as to say that Holloway’s next fight should be for the featherweight belt once the title bout between Volkanovski and Brian Ortega takes place in March at UFC 260: Miocic vs. Ngannou 2.
After Holloway’s masterful performance over Kattar, media members, and UFC fighters across all weight classes took to Twitter to show praise for his skills and incredible performance.
