Former double champ of the UFC’s featherweight and lightweight divisions, Conor McGregor, sat down with BT Sport ahead of his main event bout against former interim lightweight champ, Dustin Poirier, at UFC 257: Poirier vs. McGregor II.
During the interview, he gave the media outlet a raw version of himself where he discussed family life, COVID-19, 2020 successes and struggles, his future, his match up vs. Poirier, and more.
McGregor will be going into the match up vs. Poirier with the confidence that he knocked him out inside one round in their last fight. He has gone as far as to predict another knockout over Poirier inside the first 60 seconds of the first round.
Poirier will be taking confidence into this fight knowing that he’s a different fighter than the last time him and McGregor met in 2014, and that he has since earned victories over multiple former UFC champions.
UFC 257 takes place this Saturday, January 23, at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The main card will be aired live on Pay-Per-View following the prelims aired on ESPN and ESPN+.
