Late Tuesday evening, Diaz called out Conor Mcgregor on Twitter for his “season.”

“What happened to your season? I was already back in by now WTF,” said Diaz.

Diaz, the man who handed Mcgregor his first loss in the UFC octagon back in 2016, is 1-1 against the former ‘double champ’ and he may be looking to set up the rubber match in the near future.

At this point it is hard to say what Diaz’s intentions are at the moment, but I think it’s safe to say that he is either mocking Mcgregor or trying to set up a third fight to settle the score once and for all.

Mcgregor stated in multiple post-fight interviews after his fight with Donald Cerrone that the rematch with Diaz is always there. Anytime Diaz wants it, he can have it.

Diaz, 34, is coming off a doctor stoppage loss to Jorge Masvidal last November where they competed for the BMF title, a one of one championship fight that was created by Diaz and the UFC promotion after he defeated Anthony Pettis and called out Masvidal who was in attendance for that fight.

With there being limited options for the UFC superstar, I’m leaning towards the idea that Diaz is realizing the third fight would be the best business move for him.

Both fighters should be ready to get another training camp started soon, and the timing may be just right to finally get the matchup the fans have been waiting for, for almost four years now.
