Las Vegas — Roosevelt Roberts (10-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) is set to return to the UFC octagon once again this Saturday against Jim Miller (31-14 MMA, 20-13 UFC) in a 160 pound catchweight bout on UFC on ESPN 11.

Roberts, 26, had an impressive outing in his last fight just two weeks ago against Dana White Contender Series stand out, Brok Weaver, finishing Weaver in the second round via rear-naked choke.

One of the concerns Roberts had prior to accepting the fight against Miller was regarding having to make 155 pounds again, after just recently having to make weight less than three weeks ago.

“I just didn’t want to have to cut again so quick. At lightweight, I’m skinny, I’m tall and skinny (and) I don’t really have much muscle. So it’s kind of hard for me to get down to 155-pounds. So I just didn’t want to have to cut weight again two weeks after I just got done cutting weight, so we asked for 160 and he took it, and I’m grateful,” Roberts said to Jay Anderson with Cageside Press during media day, Thursday.

On Saturday, Roberts opponent, Jim Miller, will look to tie Donald Cerrone for the record of most fights in UFC (35). Robert’s however, isn’t worried about Miller’s experience, stating that he is human and bleeds like any other man.

“He’s human. He bleed’s just like I bleed, he’ll go to sleep just like I go to sleep, he can get knocked out just like I can get knocked out. I don’t care how many times he’s been in there, I’ve been fighting my whole life,” Roberts told Cageside Press.

This Saturday, Roberts looks to improve his UFC record to 5-1 overall, and extend his current win streak to three.
