Tommy Fury shared a video with fans yesterday, explaining the “medical condition” that caused him to pull out of his fight against Jake Paul.
In the video, Fury explained that he contracted a “bacterial chest infection” which caused him to not be able to breathe properly, due to having large amounts of flehm built up in his lungs.
He says that the infection then made his body so weak that he ultimately suffered a broken rib in sparring.
Fury captioned the video post:
“A message to clear things up. I am asking for a reschedule date, I’m not backing away from this fight. Thank you to the people who support me on this journey…. The whole world wants to see this fight and I’m hopeful that we can make it happen in the new year.”
