In one of the most gangster moves of all time, James Krause (27-7 UFC, 11-4) took a fight on UFC 247’s fight card on two-days notice.
The UFC welterweight was in Houston, planning on cornering one of his fighters, when Antonio Arroyo was pulled from a fight against hometown police officer and UFC fighter, Trevin Giles (11-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC).
When Krause found this out, he immediately offered to step up and take the fight.
Krause normally fights at welterweight, but will be fighting up a weight class at middleweight. He was able to make weight in less than 24 hours.
Krause is currently on a six-fight winstreak.
