All the fighters making up UFC 269 officially weighed in on Friday morning, resulting in two of them missing weight.
UFC 269 features two title fights. The main event will be between champion, Charles Oliveira and challenger, Dustin Poirier, for the lightweight world title. The co main event will be between two division champ, Amanda Nunes, and challenger Juliana Pena for the women’s bantamweight world title.
Oliveira weighed in at an official 155 pounds, while Poirier weighed in at 154.5 pounds, half a pound under the championship weight limit for lightweights. Nunes weighed in at 134.5 pounds, also right under the championship weight limit for bantamweights, while Pena weighed in at 135 pounds.
Flyweights Alex Perez and Matt Schnell will no longer be competing against each other on Saturday after UFC officials announced on Friday that Schnell was forced to withdraw from the fight due to a “medical issue.”
Prior to Schnell being forced out of the fight, he did officially weigh in and made weight. However, Perez, who was the last fighter to hit the scales, weighed in, but did not successfully make weight.
Priscila Cachoeira missed weight for her fight against Gillian Martin. As a result of the weight miss, she will forfeit 30% of her purse to her opponent.
