UFC fighters will now have another bonus to fight for on Saturday, courtesy of a sponsorship deal the promotion made with Crypto.com.

In a press release on Thursday, the UFC announced a “Fan Fight of the Night Bonus” will be introduced at UFC 273.

According to the press release, fighters will now be eligible for a five-figure “Fan Fight of the Night” bonus in the form of Bitcoin [BTC] on the exchange rate in U.S. dollars, that will be decided by a global fan vote on Crypto.com.

The bonus is structured to pay out a first-place bonus of $30,000, a second-place bonus of $20,000, and a third-place bonus of $10,000. Fighters will still be eligible for the traditional “Fight of the Night” and “Performance of the Night” bonuses of $50,000.

Fans will be allowed to vote up to three times per pay-per-view on Crypto.com/FanBonus. The vote will start at the beginning of the PPV prelims, and it will end one hour after the main event concludes. As it pertains to non-PPV events, there was no mention in the press release.

The announcement comes nearly one year after the promotion signed a $175 million sponsorship deal with Crypto.com in July of 2021.

“Crypto.com has been an official UFC partner for less than a year, and I’m telling you they are already one of the best partners we’ve ever had,” UFC President Dana White said in the press release. “They’re constantly coming up with new ideas about how we can work together to connect with the fans. This new Fan Bonus of the Night is an awesome way to get fans more engaged in our events while rewarding the fighters for bad-ass performances.”
