There were a few big callouts made during the UFC Brasilia broadcast, last night.

Renato Moicano calls out Paul Felder

The first marquee call out was made by former featherweight turned lightweight, Renato Moicano.

After securing a rear-naked choke just 44 seconds into the first round, the former #7 ranked featherweight called out top lightweight contender, Paul Felder.

“He’s a really tough guy. I am (ranked) #7 in the featherweight (division), he’s (ranked) #7 in the lightweight (division). So, let’s do it,” said Moicano, in his post-fight octagon interview.

Gilbert Burns calls out Colby Covington

The second high profile call out came from Gilbert Burns.

Following his knockout over Demian Maia, just two minutes and 34 seconds into the first round, Burns called out Colby Covington to be his next opponent inside the octagon.

“Colby Covington, you came in here, you talked so much shit. Now you gotta see me. You gonna see me. I’m gonna beat you up,” said Burns, who wanted to be more explicit in his call out, but realized he was on an ESPN broadcast.

Burns is referring to the last time Covington fought in Brazil, when he called the Brazilians, “a bunch of filthy animals” in his post-fight speech, following a decision victory over Demian Maia.

Charles Oliveria calls for next shot at lightweight title

The third and biggest call out of UFC Brasilia, came from the main event winner, Charles Oliveira.

Oliveira submitted his opponent, Kevin Lee, just 28 seconds into the third round, via guillotine choke.

Making it seven finishes in his last seven fights, Oliveira stated his interest in fighting the winner of the highly anticipated lightweight title fight, coming up in April at UFC 249, between current champ, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and challenger, Tony Ferguson.

“Tony Ferguson or Khabib, you know. I’ll be sitting there first row. There’s no way to deny it. I’m one of the best in the world. I’m ready. The belt is gonna be mine,” said Oliveira, when he was asked about who’s next, during his post-fight octagon interview.

Oliveira tied Donald Cerrone for most finishes in UFC history with 16 total. He also joined the names of Chuck Liddell and Anderson Silva for most consecutive finishes inside the octagon. He is now tied with Liddell at seven consecutive finishes, and is one away from tieing the UFC record of eight consecutive finishes, held by Anderson Silva.

Of all the call outs made, Oliveira may have the best case to get what he’s asking for next.
