The fight lasted less than a round, officially coming to a stop four minutes and two seconds into the first round.
The two fighters got off to an exciting start. Weavers opponent, Rodrigo Vargas rocked him early in the round. Once recovered, Weaver made a comeback and almost secured a guillotine choke before his opponent ultimately escaped.
After the wild exchanges, things got a bit more crazy. While Weaver was grounded, his opponent hit him in the head with an illegal knee that temporarily knocked him out.
The fight was immediately stopped and Vargas was disqualified for the illegal knee.
This is Weavers first win in the UFC octagon.
Even though he got the win, it came at a price. Everytime a fighter is knocked out it dulls the senses, rection times, etc. hopefully Weaver takes some time to heal and recover from this injury before he gets back into training as well as the Octagon.
