Following today’s UFC Vegas 45 weigh-ins, Australia’s Justin Tafa became the first heavyweight in UFC history to weigh-in over the limit of 266 pounds.
UFC Vegas 45 features a heavyweight bout between former title challenger Derrick Lewis and surging contender, Chris Daukus. The co main event will feature a welterweight bout between two-time title challenger Stephen Thompson and Belal Muhammad.
Houston’s, Lewis, weighed-in at the heavyweight limit of 265 pounds, while his opponent, Daukus, weighed-in significantly lighter at 235.5 pounds. Both Thompson and Muhammad weighed-in at 170.5 pounds.
In addition to Tafa’s weight miss, two other fighters missed weight, Sijara Eubanks and Macy Chiasson.
At this time it is unclear whether these three fights will still take place at catchweights or how much the fighters will be forced to forfeit to their opponents for the weight miss.
