UFC bantamweight Sean O’Malley appears to have his next fight booked.

O’Malley announced through his Youtube channel Tuesday that the UFC sent him an official contract with an opponent and a date.

“Guess what, we just got a contract,” O’Malley told his viewers. “Thomas Almeida, March 27, hopefully Las Vegas, I don’t know. But I’m about to sign it. Let’s f***ing go!”

Almeida, 29, is currently on a three-fight losing streak in the UFC, dating back to 2017 when he first lost to Jimmie Rivera by unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 25. Prior to his recent skid, Almeida started his career off by going 20-0, including his first four UFC fights, before he suffered his first career loss to Cody Garbrandt at UFC Fight Night 88, who eventually went on to become champion of the bantamweight division.

O’Malley, 26, suffered his first career loss in his last bout where he was TKO’d in the first-round by Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera, last August at UFC 252: Miocic vs. Cormier 3. Prior to that, O’Malley started off his career by going 12-0, including his first four UFC fights as well.

With March 27th being the date of UFC 260: Miocic vs. N’Gannou 2, it looks like the UFC is putting O’Malley in another big spot despite coming off the TKO loss to Vera.
