“Days like today will only make me better,” said Jon Jones following his latest training session with 2016 Olympic bronze medalist J’den Cox.

Following the training session, the former UFC light heavyweight champ and Cox both took to Instagram to share footage of themselves getting some good old fashioned wrestling in on Saturday.

J’den Cox gets a clean takedown on Jon Jones

Cox posted a video of himself taking Jones down captioned, “I had a great experience getting to wrestle and talk with @jonnybones! Also you can’t go wrong with hanging around @henry_cejudo! It’s fun being around Legends. #Grateful”

Jones shared footage of Cox getting another takedown over him during the training session captioned, “Sometimes you the hammer, sometimes you’re the nail. I’m humbled and grateful. Days like today will only make me better. Grateful to have the opportunity to work with some of the best athletes in the world @henry_cejudo @fightready @jmiz_cusa”

Jones later Tweeted, “I need some milk, J’den Cox just served me up some serious humble pie.”

The training took place at Fight Ready gym in Arizona, home to former UFC two division champ and 2008 Olympic gold medalist, Henry Cejudo, who was in attendance for the training and likely had some part in setting up.

Fight Ready is where Jones has been training since getting kicked out of his longtime gym, Jackson Winks MMA, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, this past September, over his latest domestic violence charges.
